when 120 people gather to celebrate the glorious festival of Navratri its sure it is a night filled with bliss. In true RCLALAS fashion Garbotsav exceeded all the expectations!
The planning for the event commenced 25 days prior to the main date, scheduled for October 14, 2023.
The event plan was discussed among the Garbostav team, including chairpersons, Vice Presidents, the core team, and the President.
After a thorough discussion, the chairpersons compiled a list of tasks essential for a successful Garbostav event. Subsequently, they initiated preparations for various aspects.
The team, approached by a few Rotaract clubs for collaboration, decided to do the event with the Rotaract Club of Medicrew.

Sooryavanshi Hall in Dadar Shivaji Park
Vows Banquet in Prabhadevi
Kasturba Hall in Matunga West
Khalsa Banquet in Matunga East
MV Banquet Hall in Star Mall, Dadar
The chairpersons contacted the managers of the listed halls to inquire about payment details and other crucial information.
The Garbostav team sought approval from the Chairman Finance regarding club funds before proceeding further.
After deliberation, the team finalized Sooryavanshi Hall as the venue, securing a comprehensive package at ₹36,000, covering DJ services, sound systems, and refreshments.
To confirm the deal, chairpersons visited Sooryavanshi Hall for a checkup and final discussions regarding monetary matters.
After the finalization of the deal, the Garbostav team initiated event preparations promptly.
For promotion, announcements were made during six preceding events and one general body member meeting.
A JPEG and broadcast message were prepared and approved by the team secretary, shared across various groups, posted on district event MIPS, social media platforms, and disseminated through posters.
The chairpersons, along with the president, visited Sooryavanshi Hall for payment, making an advance payment of 20,000 on October 5, 2023.

The full payment was completed on October 10, enabling the Garbostav team to acquire a projector and screen for the live screening of the Pakistan vs. India cricket match, a pivotal highlight of the event.
Two days before the Garbostav event, the team had a detailed discussion with the DJ regarding the music selection for the day. A personally curated playlist was also prepared for the same
